Finished I Corinthians

The Lord continues to keep just one clear and simple concern before me: Tell those who profess the name of Christ to come out and be separate from this evil world. Overcome in all things. This is not a time to play church. This is not a time to seek material things as evidence of God’s approval or blessing. Set your affection on things above, not on the things of this world. This world is passing away. If you love the world and the things of the world, the love of the Father is not in you. God is looking for faith, not for material success. God is building a household of faith, a body of interdependent members, not a loose association of independent individualists, of whom each one can get along without being committed to the body as a whole. The church is built on Christ as the foundation, not on any creed, not on any man, but only on Jesus Christ and His Word. Those who try to build on any other foundation not only are doomed to failure, but they ultimately  cannot be part of His work, as we approach the end of time: for, truly, time is short and the end of all things is at hand. Take it seriously, for it certainly is “Thus saith the Lord!”

Through Romans 8

As we turn our calendars to the new year, I pray that God will grant His true sheep the grace to follow Jesus, the true Shepherd, faithfully in every way, in every place where He directs our path.
